Welcome to ARMOURY, the fourth album by Six Sick Thistles. Late 2020 to early 2021 was a transitional phase in my life, and hence, there was plenty of time to pursue my passion of music creation.

Brand new, never heard before tunes and songs about people, places and things. Original bagpipe tunes, composed by yours truly.

An armoury is a place that can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. It is a bastion that serves many functions in a community, a functional center of militarism and social contact but also physical training and even the arts. I am a product of all of this; I owe much of who I am today to such a place, and have no regrets.

Eight of these tracks are based on pipe tunes I composed; marches, jigs, hornpipes and reels. A few of the tunes have Gaelic names, such as the mysteriously haunting Òran Samhain, and Fàs Nas Fhaide na Làithean. Have no doubts, this is Highland Pipe Music, composed in the 21st Century, but arranged with modern beats, synths, and electronic sounds.
