What is HIGHLANDISM!? It is a mysterious and ancient philosophy in which one espouses the culture, virtue, and values of Scotland. This collection is but a taste of HIGHLANDISM, so I invite you to find a dram, a pint of ale, and sit and enjoy this unique collection of bagpipe powered tunes and songs. It is Saint Andrew’s Day 2021, so I figured what better time for a new album release.

Highlandism is also an album of brand new, never heard before bagpipe tunes, ensconced in tradition. Marches, reels, and a waltz/reel which which can be described as nothing less than a sinister encounter with jazz!? “The Wee Lass Frae Snizort” and “Cam's Big Five Oh” bring the Ceilidh on in style. “The Adder of Braemar” rocks a groove that will get your toes tapping, with a part 4 that might have you saying "you cannae dae that..", but don't worry... YOU CAN DAE THAT. Plus you now know, there ARE muthaf*ckin snakes on this muthaf*ckin plane… ✈️

Lastly, Highlandism is four brand new songs which range from deeply serious to quite whimsical, touching on some very contentious topics, visits the deepest reaches of space, and brings you back to encounter the Gen X/Millenial divide, and a good old fashioned song about HAGGIS because HAGGIS is the stuff that binds the Universe, don't you know! “I Clubbed” is also a bit of a hat tip to my personal alt rock heroes, that I have been following closely since the 80s, the predecessors of Grunge, THE PIXIES…
